Joining his father in the family business in 1977, Ross understood from the very beginning the importance of his family’s tradition. He understands the heritage of his family and profession as well as the changing needs of the community he serves. After graduating from Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, he became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1986. He is a member of the Cuyahoga, Ohio, and National Funeral Directors Associations, as well as the Mayfield Heights Kiwanis Club. He served in the U.S. Army in 1972 as a 2nd Lieutenant, and was an Army Reserve Captain from 1974 to 1980. He is also Past President of the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Ross Jr. is a parishioner at St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills and St. Clare Church in Lyndhurst and has been married to his wife Patty since 1971. They have three children and four grandchildren. Ross and Patty reside in Kirtland, Ohio. |

Joining his father, grandfather, and the rest of the DeJohn family, Ross represents the third generation of family values and heritage in the firm. After graduating from the University of Dayton where he was President of the Student Government and an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, he received his Funeral Director license in 2000. Ross III became deeply involved in the community serving as board member and Past Vice-President of the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce, long-time board member and current President of the Rotary Club of Hillcrest, and as Scholarship Chair of the Mayfield Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Doug Dieken Foundation committee and a parishioner of St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills. Committed to his profession, Ross is a member of the Cuyahoga, Ohio, and National Funeral Directors Associations as well as the International Cemetery and Funeral Association. He is married to the former Christy DiCillo, who is a Registered Nurse at The University Hospitals of Cleveland. They reside in Kirtland and have three daughters. |

A Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1953, Ross Sr. has been actively involved in his profession by being a member of the Cuyahoga, Ohio, and National Funeral Directors Associations. He is also a current member, selected by the Governor, of the State of Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. He also committed himself to the community by serving as the Mayor of Mayfield Heights for 28 years. He is a former board member of the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved, a parishioner of St. Clare Church in Lyndhurst, and an Ordained Permanent Deacon for the Cleveland Diocese. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and also served in the U.S. Navy. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Trustees of Hillcrest Hospital, volunteering with the Cleveland Clinic Pastorial Care Department, and being an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Ross Sr. has been married to his wife, Carmella, since 1949, and they have five children. |

We believe it is especially important to assist families in dealing with their grief. As a grief and bereavement educator, Patty is an important part of that process. She has taught courses on these subjects at Ursuline College, and is a counselor in private practice with Dr. Thomas Frazier and Associates. She graduated from Ursuline College in 1995 and John Carroll University in 1998. Patty is a member of the Association for Death Education & Counseling, and the Northeast Ohio Bereavement Council. |

Bob is a past graduate of Bowling Green State University and member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. A Licensed Funeral Director since 1988, he is also a Licensed Life Insurance Agent and Pre-Arrangement Specialist. He is a member of the Cuyahoga, Ohio, and National Funeral Directors Associations, as well as the Embalmers Association of Cleveland. He has served on the Board of the Hillcrest YMCA, and devotes his time to many public service and fraternal organizations such as the Mayfield Heights High School and Sigma Chi Alumni Associations. Additionally, he is an active member of the Association of Specialists in Aging. He is a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church and also serves as an usher and parishioner of St. Clare Church. Bob is married to the former Lori Boslett, who is a Registered Nurse at Hillcrest Hospital. The couple has two children. |

With over 35 years of service in the funeral profession, Bill is the manager of our South Euclid Chapel. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Borromeo College of Ohio, attended John Carroll University and is a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He is a member of the Gesu 50+ Club and the East Side Irish American Club. Mr. White is a veteran of the United States Army, serving with the Criminal Investigation Unit (C.I.D.) at the Presidio of San Fransisco in California. In addition, he served as past President of the John Caroll University Band. |

A graduate of Cleveland State University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Jim’s career in funeral service dates from 1954. He is a second generation Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, a Licensed Pre-Arrangement Specialist, and is a member of the Cuyahoga, Ohio, and National Funeral Directors Associations, as well as the Embalmers Association of Cleveland. He and his wife Kerry are proud parents of twin boys. |

Kathy is a graduate of Ursuline College with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing and received her Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Organization Development & Analysis. Kathy is a 20 year Business/Marketing Professional. She oversees administrative functions at the funeral home and is a Licensed Insurance Agent and Pre-Need Specialist. She is a member of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood and currently serves on their Mission Empowerment Board. Kathy has taught Diversity Management and Appreciative Inquiry classes for the Professional Development Program at Notre Dame College in South Euclid. She is Vice-President of the Milcreek Community Homeowners Association, part of the Broadway/Warner/MillCreek Falls neighborhood. |

Shawn is the newest member of our staff. He grew up in Wickliffe, Ohio and attended Wickliffe Elementary, Middle School and High School, graduating in 2003. He attended Lakeland Community College specializing in Business Management. Shawn graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Sciences in 2006 and will be finalizing his apprentice work with DeJohn~ Flynn~ Mylott. Shawn enjoys all sports – especially soccer, basketball and tennis. |
