Patricia A. DeJohn, Bereavement and Aftercare
Specialist
We believe it is
especially important to assist families in dealing with their grief. As a grief
and bereavement educator, Patty is an important part of that process. As a grief
counselor she has taught courses on death and dying at Ursuline College and has
facilitated grief support groups since 1989. She graduated with a degree in
Psychology from Ursuline College and received her Masters Degree in Counseling
from John Carroll University. Currently, she is a counselor in private
practice with Dr. Thomas Frazier and Associates. In addition to her Bereavement
work at the funeral home, Patty shares her expertise with the community where
she has given workshops and lectures for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland,
Hospice of the Western Reserve and many local churches and community
organizations. Patty is a member of the Association for Death Education &
Counseling, and the Northeast Ohio Bereavement Council.
