We wish all of our 2022 Ross & Carmella DeJohn Memorial Scholarship winners the best of luck as they start their freshman year of college!
We are pleased to announce the nine local students we have awarded with our Ross Sr. & Carmella DeJohn Memorial Scholarship. Each student will receive $750 for his or her college tuition or books in 2022.

These students have demonstrated the ideals of passion, respect and organization to be eligible for the Ross Sr. & Carmella DeJohn Memorial Scholarship. Students that demonstrate these qualities as they achieve their higher education will become our future community leaders.
“Congratulations to the Class of 2022. We wish each of these fine young men and women the very best and continued success in their future,” said Ross DeJohn Jr., Chief Executive Officer for DeJohn Funeral Homes.
In 1993 the DeJohn family, in conjunction with the family owned funeral home, established the scholarship in honor of Ross (Sr) and Carmella’s dedication to education. Ross Sr. served as Mayor of Mayfield Heights for over 28 years and during that time was very supportive of all school related issues including support for many school levies. More than $35,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving high school seniors living in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties.
Students may apply for the Ross Sr. & Carmella DeJohn Memorial Scholarship in early 2023 and the application may be downloaded from the DeJohn website. For more information on the student scholarship, visit www.dejohncares.com/scholarship.
