
ALBIN M. OREHEK age 93, beloved husband for 61 years of Betty (nee Zak); loving father of Jean Orehek-Dreyer (Steve, deceased); devoted grandfather of Carolyn and Nathan Dreyer; cherished son of the late Anton and Antonia (nee Biagio); dearest brother of the late Fred and John; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Navy World War II Veteran.
Albin Orehek was born on July 30, 1927 and died peacefully on December 14, 2020. He attended and graduated from Benedictine High School in 1944. Albin went on to attend John Carroll University and graduated with a degree in business. He was a member of the St. Vitus Catholic War Vets, Holy Name Society and KSKJ. He enjoyed playing tennis, skiing and bike riding. Albin also enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty. Albin was very easy going and loved to sing. He was a great dancer, especially the polka. He was an outgoing man, but above all, Albin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Albin to the St. Vitus Endowment Fund. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Vitus Catholic Church 6019 Lausche Ave. Cleveland, 44103 at 11 AM. Burial at All Souls Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Albin at THE CHURCH MONDAY MORNING 10-11 AM.
