Alec F. Kornet age 17, of South Euclid. Loving son of Scott and Stephanie (nee Greenberg). Dear brother of Matthew and Michael. Cherished grandson of Patty Kornet and Robert Kornet, Dr. Les and Betty Greenberg. Nephew, Cousin, and Friend to many. Alec attended Brush High School. He was an honor student, enjoyed playing numerous sports, and was a member of the band. He will be loved and missed by family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Monday February 20, 2017, 11:30 A.M. at THE DeJOHN FLYNN – MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91.Interment following at Lakeview Cemetery.Family will receive friends immediately following at the residence of Dr. Les and Betty Greenberg, 25465 Bryden Road Beachwood, OH 44122, Monday until 9PM, as well as Tuesday, 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM. Friends may pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Alec on Sunday 2-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Our family found Comfort with the Compassionate Friends of Lake County, a support group for parents who have lost a child. I Pray that Alec is Resting in Peace among Angels and his Heavenly Family, in the presence of our Lord. She had played against him and after the game he made an effort to find her on social media. He wanted to let her know how cool it was to play against a girl. That made my daughter’s day. I know that she will miss him.
