ANDREW F. DANGELO age 59, beloved husband for 34 years of Kathleen (nee Birkel); loving father of Lauren, Alex (wife Jenny), and Julianne Junglas (husband Alexander); devoted grandfather of Jack; cherished son-in-law of Barbara and Thomas Birkel; dearest brother of Sharon Fielding (husband Vic) and brother-in-law of Christine Giardino (husband Dominic), John Hegedus (wife Michelle), Alyssa Strauss (husband Eric), and the late Kim Hegedus; dear uncle of many.
Andrew was born on February 26, 1963 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. From an early age he developed a life long love of landscaping and gardening. His dedication and passion are what compelled him to begin and grow The Ohio Valley Group into a well-respected and renowned landscaping company. His dedication and amazing eye for design also shaped the design and construction of Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens. Andy truly embraced the outdoors. Whether he was hunting or spending time with his family at the lake on their boat, he was happy. He was also the guy you went to whenever you needed something fixed because he could literally fix anything. On March 8, 2022, Andy passed away with his family by his side. He adored his family and friends more than anything and for this he will forever be missed.
Contributions may be made in memory of Andy to The Division of Natural Areas and Preserves at Ohio Department of Natural Resources. [1]
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 14, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 18205 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023, at 11 AM.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Andy at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 1-7 PM.

I have such fond memories of Andy and always able to make you laugh. He truly was an extraordinary man. He left such a positive mark on this planet, he’ll be truly missed by all of us. My sympathies go out to you Kathleen and your family. While I haven’t seen you in quite a long time, I always remember how happy Andy always was and quick to crack a joke. I remember several occasions while visiting the family with my mom, Aunt Dolly, when I was just a child, how funny Andy was. And I remember being there one time when you and Andy were going out on a date. I’m happy that he had a happy life. Praying that his eternal life will be the same. I will continue to pray for you and your family at this time of grief.
