You have only been gone for 2 days and I miss you so much. I want to talk to you and tell you and ask you some things. Please watch over me. You told me you needed me. The truth is, I need you Mom! I understand you couldn’t stay here forever. I hope you are well and happy. I love you Mom xo

Gramma,
I’m so glad I got to see you before you left, even if it was only through a window. The timing was so lucky. I will always remember us putting our hands up to the window! And pointing to our hearts. And I will always remember the best parts of you, your legendary style, and and how strong you are, and what a matriarch you were, even at the very end when you didn’t feel strong anymore. Alex is sad too, we cry together, but he’s very supportive. We laugh about the time you said you liked him and were talking about him but he was in the car right behind you! I’m glad you got to meet him and I know you will be with us at the wedding. I’m going to wear Gramma Lucy’s earrings and carry your little beaded white handbag! Thank you for being the most loving soul. There are a million more things I want to say to you.
I hope they have cigarettes and Tequila Rose in heaven, and that your nails are always painted, and that your table is always full of food and card games and the many people you loved so much. I will always idolize you. I love you, and I will meet you again.

I only knew you for a short time but I cherished the time we spent together. Getting things from the store for you was always a pleasure for me. A couple of my fondest memories were one you couldn’t remember my name when we first met and I told you to call me purple Carol because I had purple hair. You laughed and smiled. Two was playing poker. You were so funny, you would forget what game we were playing but you always knew what cards you were holding and most of the time it was a winning one. You would struggle to shuffle and deal so I would do it for you. I always brought a cushion for you to sit on and get your oxygen machine plugged in. I am. Smoker and you always said you wanted to throw that machine away and have a cigarette. I’ll always hold you close to my heart and miss you so.
PEACE and LUV my Friend til we meet again.

We express our sorrow on the loss of a wonderful kind and loving woman. My parents loved your mom/grandma very much and I know my mom is reunited with her now. I will never forget the welcoming feeling she always gave me and the family when we were all together, even when it was a sad occasion that brought us all together. We are sorry that we cannot be there to give you all our condolences in person but know we are there in spirit. If you need anything feel free to let me know.
Lots of love from Alicia Bellante (Don and Antonette Bellante’s youngest daughter) and Don.
