ANN E. SVEC (nee Dzurko), age 89, beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Linda Phillippe, Nancy, Sharon and Bill Svec (wife Jackie); devoted grandmother of Austin (fiancé Meg LaPree) and Ryan Phillippe and Billy Svec; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Mary (nee Clema) Dzurko; dearest sister of the late Edward Dzurko (wife Marge, deceased), Irene Gaydos (husband Emil, deceased) and Cyril Dzurko (wife Mitzi); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Ann was born on October 27, 1931 in Dunmore, PA and passed away on October 28, 2020. She raised her family in Maple Heights until 2009 when she moved to Burton. Ann had a kind, caring spirit and she was always there to listen wholeheartedly. She prayed earnestly and constantly for her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Ann truly put God first in her daily life. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Wenceslas, St. Monica’s, and St. Helen’s Catholic Church. She was passionate about her involvement in the Legion of Mary, the Ladies Auxiliary Guild, Homebound Ministry, Friends of the Library, Eucharist Adoration, and volunteering at Geauga Senior Center. Ann will be remembered most for her faithful devotion to God and her encouragement and love for others.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November 2, 2020, at 11AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Rd, Newbury Township, OH 44065. Private family burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ann at ST. HELEN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH MONDAY MORNING 10-11AM.
