Celebration of Life service for Anna Jean Bushnell, 74, will be on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11 AM at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon. Mrs. Bushnell was a resident of Geneva for 51 years.
Mrs. Bushnell was born February 20, 1947 to the late Roy and Gertrude Bushnell, and passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. She enjoyed sewing and painting, as well as being outdoors tending to the flowers and taking walks. Anna was a wonderful cook and baker and even canned her own foods. Every Friday, she would make a special trip to Mary’s Diner, in Geneva, to enjoy her favorite bowl of clam chowder soup. Anna’s most enjoyment in life came from her family. She shared a special bond with each of her children, as well as her grandchildren. Anna was a unique woman, who expressed strength and patience in her everyday life, and for that she will be dearly missed.
Anna is survived by her children Glena Foster (husband Robert), Bonnie Spaulding, Glenn Bushnell (wife Stephanie), Sandy, and Jenny Plecha (husband Bill); and cherished grandmother of Robert, Steven, and David Foster, Tiffany Thompson, Samantha Spaulding, Sydney and Shelby Bushnell, Scott and Krystal Ramsey, Mary Beth, Sianna Atwood, and Michelle Plecha.
She was preceded in death by her husband James and parents Roy and Gertrude.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Anna at THE DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 2-6 PM.

I knew Anna as a substitute housekeeper when I was an elementary principal with the Geneva Area City Schools. She was a such a kind person, who always had a smile when she greeted you. She tried very hard to clean the schools and would reply cheerfully to any request. May God comfort her loved ones during this time of loss and may she rest in the peace of Christ.
