ANNA THOMAS (nee Mathai) age 86, beloved wife of the late Mudeelathu Abraham Thomas; loving mother of Sarah Kovoor (Dr. Suvir) and Abraham Thomas (Anita); devoted grandmother of Philip Amit Kovoor (Devree), Anne Kiran Mikhaiel (Mark), Thomas Sumit Kovoor, Aaron Thomas, and Arielle Thomas and great-grandmother of Genevieve and Elia Molnar-Kovoor, and Luke Mikhaiel; cherished daughter of the late TM Mathai and Saramma (Philipose); dearest sister of Dr. Mariamma Thomas (the late Dr. Thomas Abraham), Molly Cherian (the late Abraham), Susan Karimpil (Dr. Joseph), and the late Thomas Mathai (the late Valsa) and the late Mathews Mathai (Dr. Mary). February 3, 2023 was a life changing day. We lost our dear grandmother. She was such an inspiration for all of us – she overcame the loss of her husband early on, raised two young children, and worked multiple jobs at the same time to give her family a good life. She loved us unconditionally and was full of personality – she was a world traveler, card shark, made the best shrimp biryani you could imagine and had such a quick and mischievous sense of humor, she always had us laughing. She was our matriarch, now and forever. We love you eternally our blessed Mama. Rest in peace.
