
ANTOINETTE AOUN SELWAN, age 84, passed away on March 21, 2023, devoted wife of the late Maroun Nemr Selwan, survived by her children Pierre Selwan (wife Eliane), Pierrette Sahlani (husband Nabil) and Eliane Seeman (husband Joe), dear grandmother to Marc, Elizabeth, Christian, Michel, Mario, Anna, Lily and Patrick, great-grandmother to Kayden, loving sister of the late Elias Aoun (wife Samia – deceased), President General Michel Aoun (wife Nadia), Jeanette Aoun, Renee Aoun (husband Joseph – deceased), and the late Robert Aoun.
Born and raised in Haret Horeik, Lebanon, Antoinette was known for her endless love of her family. She was recognized for her creativity in designing and sewing clothes. She started her own business in the 1960’s and ran an atelier for wedding trousseau. She was known for her wit and was an incredible cook. She and Maroun moved to Cleveland following their children’s move to the USA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Maron Church, 7800 Brookside Road, Independence, Ohio 44131.
Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 25, 2023, at St. Maron Catholic Church, 1245 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115 at 10 AM. Interment South Russell Cemetery following the Mass. The family will receive condolences at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 4-7 PM.
