
ARTHUR L. KOTOWSKI, age 91; husband for 60 years of Nancy (nee Aughey); father of Paul, Frances Hernandez, Benjamin (wife Julia), Bruce, Jeffrey (wife Mary) and Steven (wife Karen); grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 3; preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters; uncle and friend to many. World War II US Navy Veteran. Contributions may be made in Art’s memory to the charity of your choice.
Arthur was a World War II US Navy Veteran. After receiving his degree from the Laurence Institute of Technology in Detroit, MI, he worked as an administrator for the Department of Agriculture. Previously residing in Chicago, Arthur moved to Newbury 20 years ago. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church and worked on the Peace Committee. He enjoyed spending time at the Geauga Senior Center, gardening, remodeling, woodworking, and home improvement projects. He will be remembered for his intelligence, love to work with his hands and desire to keep busy.
Celebration of Life Service in memory of Art with Military Honors will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 1 PM at the East Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 10848 Chillicothe Rd (Rte 306) Kirtland, OH 44094. Reception and luncheon immediately following the service at the church. Private burial will take place in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, MI. Cremation and arrangements made by THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square).
