Arthur Turchetta

Arthur Barry Turchetta, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2018 surrounded by his family at UH Geauga Hospital in Chardon Ohio. Born in Altoona, PA on May 9, 1948, Arthur relocated to Willowick in Middle School. He graduated from North High School and has since remained a longtime resident of Willowick.  A Veteran of the US Army, he faithfully served his country in the Vietnam War.  He was a hardworking diesel mechanic and worked for Central Transport for several years before retiring from Cleveland Public Schools.  Arthur was a generous man and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He loved the Cleveland Indians and you could always find him watching the game with a bag of chips.


Arthur was a devoted family man, always putting his family above himself. He is survived by his children Nicole (Jeremiah) Sample, Chad Turchetta, and Colby Turchetta; grandchildren Eliott and Emily Sample; sisters Karen (William) Smith and Shelia (Tom) Cherrison; and 6 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur A. and Rosemary (nee McCreery) Turchetta and his brother Kevin (Diane) Turchetta.


Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Arthur at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2018 from 5-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalene Church Catholic Church 32114 Vine St, Willowick, OH 44095 at 11 AM.
