Pastor Barb was a woman of much wisdom and good cheer. She epitomized the best that Christianity has to offer – humility, a willingness to learn from others, and an enduring ability to see the best in others even when some of us were real pains. She was a gem and a blessing to all who knew her. Truly one of the nicest folks I have had the privilege to know. Godspeed, Pastor Barb.

I’m so sorry to hear about Pastor Barb. She got Jeff & I through the worst time of our lives – losing our precious son, Derek. I’m not sure where we would be today if it weren’t for her kindess, support and love. She gave me a clinging cross that I use almost daily, always thinking of her when I hold it. We are thankful she was a part of our lives.

  14. Sara Peck, formerly Sara Rand

Richie and Bethie….all I’ve ever known you by, Jim and Gerry, Bob, and all you other Atwoods and Pryors and Boswells, I have known and loved Barbie since the seventh grade, roomed with her at Kent our first year, kept in close touch all these years and am truly devastated by her passing. She was the most loving friend but no one was more important than her family. How she loved you all. I weep for all who knew her, all who loved her, all who were so very proud of her, amazed by her stamina and oh, so so blessed to have been a part of her life. Rest in peace, Reverend Mother Barb.

  15. Susan Hildebrand

I am so sorry we have lost Barb. She was always there when I needed her. I don’t remember not knowing her. There now seems to be a vacant place next to me where Barb always was. I miss her terribly.

  16. Jan and Stan Delmont

From the moment you met her she was your friend and if you were as fortunate as we were she was your Pastor. We will always count Pastor Barb as part of our family and now our personal loss.

  17. Prayers offered for Barb’s family. A faulous partner in ministry here in Michigan. A beautiful spirit who added so much joy to our association. Proud to have been a fellow alumni of LTS with her. Blessed to have known her.
