Beverly Ann Faragher (nee Rhoads), age 87 of Chagrin Falls, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Loving mother of William Jr. (Jana) of Montrose, CO, Mary Waterman (Chris) of Chagrin Falls, Beth (Michael Daur) of Denver, CO, Kathleen (deceased), and James of Chagrin Falls. Fun loving Grandmother of Michael Halagan, Taylor Leffel (Zachary), Chase Waterman, Zachary Daur, Erin Daur, Kitridge Faragher, Monarch Faragher and Great Grandmother of Declan Leffel. Ex-wife of William Faragher Sr. (deceased). Beloved sister of Sandra Phillips (deceased), John Rhoads (deceased) and Daniel Rhoads (Lisa). Proceeded in death by her parents John H. Rhoads and Virginia (nee Roberts).
Beverly loved children and worked as an educator for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for 23 years, before retiring from teaching kindergarten at Buckeye Woodland in 2002. Beverly had a passion for travel with family and friends, some of her favorite destinations were New Zealand, Italy, Costa Rica and Greece. In younger years she enjoyed kayaking with her sister, Sandy, and hikes with the Cleveland Hiking Club. Beverly especially treasured visits with family in California and Colorado and gatherings with dear friends over dinner and games.
The Faragher family is grateful to all who lovingly cared for Beverly at The Lantern of Chagrin Valley and to the compassionate care provided by Crossroads Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, Beverly has requested donations be made in her memory to the Kit Faragher Foundation P.O. Box 12440 Denver, CO 80212. VISITATION Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4-7 PM at DeJOHN FUNERAL HOMES AND CELEBRATION CENTER 12811 Chillicothe Rd. Chesterland, OH 44026. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11AM at St. Joan of Arc Church 496 E. Washington St. Chagrin Falls, OH 44022. Reception immediately following at Generations Event and Reception Center in Chesterland.
