I have known the Ebersole sisters for 60 years, Cheryl, Cindy and Linda, and of course their parents, June and Horace. We attended Centenary Methodist Church in Beachwood way back in the 60’s-70’s. Chery’s dad was a lay minister and loved to sing in the choir with my mom, Lou Yohe. I loved talking with Cheryl. She was soft spoken and very wise. I will miss her at coffee hour in the fellowship hall. She was a trooper and such a caring and loving mom to her two sons. She is now reunited with her parents and her great nephew Tommie. I always visit the Ebersole graves because they are very close to my mom’s grave and many of my relatives. Jim, Rob and Dan, so so so sorry for your loss. Keeping you in my prayers, Linda Maurer

Cheryl was certainly a fighter – she did an outstanding job of meeting her illness headon. Cheryl was a great help to our BHS reunion committe and went out of her way to help with our activities, Cheryl will certainly be missed!
Our deepest sympathies to her family.

The prior messages say it all and very well. She was a wonderful, caring person. Truly nice. When she would visit her family in San Diego, she and I would have dinner – some great local hamburger places. I always looked forward to it. She will be missed by me as well as many others. (And for those in the Midwest wondering about that pier in the video – that is the Ocean Beach pier; it has a unique cafe on it – so open that seagulls come in and eat with you. Cheryl and I likely ate there as well.)

Dear Jim and family,
Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Cheryl will be deeply missed. We had great times and great years planning the Brush reunions. No matter what life dealt her, she always accepted it with grace. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’ll never forget you, Cheryl! You had a very special influence on me learning to love Christ, even from a young age. I remember being little and every time and ambulance passed us you would say “awww, pray they’re okay!” I still say a little prayer as an adult every time an emergency vehicle passes me. No doubt we’ll see you in heaven. Enjoy every day in the presence of Christ! I’ll see you again before you know it. Hugs!

She was valiant through her illness and always had a smile to give everyone. Her love of the Lord shown brightly as she touched her family and friends. My memories from South Euclid U.M.C. will be of Cheryl’s smile. May God keep her in his arms, always.

Jim, I am saddened hearing the news about Cheryl. We were Brush High students graduating together. But I really got to know you and Cheryl at the brunch after Tom Owings service. It was wonderful getting to know you as a couple. Cheryl had a few rough years but she is now at rest. What a sweet and gentle woman she was.

I have had Cheryl on my mind for weeks, but it might just be her prayers from heaven, telling me to keep my chin up. I just heard and am so sad that I was not there for the celebration of her life. We were in the adult Sunday School at MUMC and remained friends ever since. I got to make the program for the wedding. She always made sure Jim had something good to eat. She loved her house and yard and was perpetually frustrated by her computer. Crazy about her kids and grand kids and sisters. And her dear bird. I was never as good a friend to her as she was to me. I wish I was. I am glad she is free from pain and confusion with Jesus now. I am sad for the family and church and friends and Jim.
