
Connie M. Szymanski age 53; Loving mother of Cynthia, Candice Melkerson (Ryan) and James (Brenna); cherished daughter of Mary Ann Szymanski and the late Edward Szymanski; sister to Michele Kormos (Jeff), Katherine Brooks, Scott, and Kristie.
Connie was born on April 6, 1968, and unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, February 24 2022. Connie grew up in Chesterland, Ohio and graduated from West Geauga High School in 1986. She spent almost two decades living in Newbury, Ohio. She was often known as a jack of all trades including coaching gymnastics with her daughter Candice.
Connie loved gardening around the house and venturing to flea markets with surviving partner Tom Wilson. Those who knew Connie delighted in her baking skills for both human and four legged friends. She enjoyed time with her dogs and family as well as spoiling those around her with homemade confections. With her passing, she will be dearly missed by the community and family that surrounded her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Connie to the local animal shelter of your choice to continue spreading her love of animals.
Celebration of Life Service Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 6:30PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Connie at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) Thursday, March 3rd from 5:30PM until time of service.
