My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Dans family. He was a great neighbor and we became very close friends. I will miss him every day as we spent many hours together visiting and talking about everything. You received your angel wings and are now watching over us all from above. Rest in peace my friend. Miss you.

I got to meet Dan when I worked at Gilmour Academy. He was always so willing to share his wonderful storytelling lessons at Reunions with returning alumni. I learned so much just listening. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time…he was one in a million!

A class act with a crushing handshake. I can only hope his love of Cleveland history continues.

Oh I’m so sorry and sad to read of this … Dan was a true friend in business. We “created mats “together. You had to know us to understand … Rest easy my friend

I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Ruminski’s passing.. now who will tell us a “good story”.. He spoke at DeJohn’s 150th anniversary and I learned things about Cleveland that I never would have known.. I tell everyone I know if they ever have a chance to hear Mr. Ruminski speak, don’t pass it up… What a great man he surely will be missed..May God rest his soul in peace.

I hope Dan is with all the characters from his Cleveland storybook. The Whites and the Vans ! Nobody to weave a tale like Dan. His passing is the end of an era. Peace to his family and friends who loved him.

Prayers to the Ruminski family. I’ve worked with Dan for five years collecting information for his lectures. He is a kind and selfless person always going to the extra mile for others. He was an inspiration to my career path.

My thoughts and prayers to your family and friends. I will forever be grateful for all you have done for the students at Broadmoor School. Your efforts and kindness provided iPads to many. This simple gesture gave options to so many that were not there before. Your legacy will continue and we will continue to follow your example.

Dan was a great man and a wonderful person with a heart of gold. We worked together each year on the Horse Country Tour and became very good friends. He was so outgoing and interesting and he volunteered his time to benefit nature and the conservation of land and historic properties in Ohio. Sending my blessings and prayers to Dan’s family for such a loss to all.
