When I started working at HUD, Dan came by my desk every day to say “get rid of the tie”. I was new and didn’t know there was a much more casual dress code. When I went to his doctor cousin (now also passed), we spent much more time talking about Dan than my medical care. I heard he was quite the ballroom dancer but never saw him in action, although we spent time together at the Painesville Twp dance hall. RIP

I have fond memories of Dan. A nice person, very intelligent. He was AFGE Local # 3701 President at HUD in the past. May he rest in peace! Prayers for the family!

My condolences to the family. I worked with Dan for 20 years, he was a wealth of knowledge and his humor helped us through the work days. He will be missed.

Dan was a good worker for The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and he was an ethical and moral person to have as President of our union, AFGE Local 3701. HUD’s chief problem is there are not enough ethical and moral members of HUD Management. Dan volunteered to be a witness in one of my formal complaints against HUD Management, but the adjudicator did not allow Dan or another former HUD employee friend of mine to be witnesses. I pray that Dan’s spirit will be in heaven. Dan had a good sense of humor.

My condolences to the family. I worked with Dan for 20 years at HUD, he was a wealth of knowledge and his humor helped make it through the work day. I will miss him yet knowing his great spirit will always be with us.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Dan for several years….I was on the opposite side of the negotiating table while he was union president. You could tell he really cared for his family, he spoke of them quite often.

I was shocked and saddened to see Dan’s picture in the obit section of Sunday’s newspaper. I had no idea he was ill. I worked with Dan at HUD for 17 years. We had some great conversations over the years. My sincere condolences to his family!

I shall never forget how appreciative Dan was for all of the HUD family who attended his beloved father’s wake and or funeral. May the Holy Spirit comfort his family and friends in this time of their grief.

I went to St. Joe’s with Dan. I did not know him though since there was 420+ students in our class. I was reunited with Dan at The Navy Finance Center. Dan asked me to join his pizza evening with the guys from the old neighborhood; I grew up on E 63rd off St. Clair. Soon after that my son Jim got married and moved to 100 E 207th St. Dan and I hooked up there and have been breakfast, lunch and dinner mates ever after. I will miss his dry humor and friendly face. RIP

My deepest condolences are with the family during this difficult time. I was taught by Professor Judith Perhay in law school, and she has become a mentor and friend since that time. During the entirety of our acquaintance she has told me many funny and heartfelt stories of her upbringing and always spoke so highly of her dear brother and father. I hope the family is able to take comfort in knowing that they are reunited at last, and watching over you all. Your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to learn of Dan’s passing through the paper which I read on Mar. 2. Dan was my best man in 1976. We met as friends after taking swim lessons at the Euclid High School pool. Together we’d meet for drinks and eventfully traveled together to Slovenia on a skiing trip. Yes, we also took skiing lessons. I recall a fun trip to New Orleans staying with his sister and naturally taking in the sights. We each had a portrait painted by an artist on St. Louis Square. I still have mine and wondered if Dan still had his. I’m sorry we lost contact over the years but still have fond memories of Dan’s friendship. My sympathy to Dan’s family.
