
DAVID F. BOYD, age 67; beloved companion of Lorraine Faber (nee Emerson); loving step-father of Madaline Dideon (husband Eric); devoted grandfather of Cole and Evelyn Dideon; treasured son of the late Raymond and Ruth (nee Mosses); dearest brother of Keith (wife Judith) and the late Janice; fond uncle of Tammy and Bryan; dearest nephew of Ruth Keller; dear cousin of Donna, Diane, Debbie, Jean and Bonnie and friend of many. Dave had a special and loving bond with Lorraine’s family and is survived by Norma Cassidy, Lindsay, Kirk and Marilyn (Denis Duchon) Emerson, Lauretta and Paul Keeton, David Emerson, Norma and Brian Gipper and preceded in death by William Emerson, Jr, Leslie and Dean Emerson.
Dave was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a member and Past Commander of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial VFW Post #4796. A graduate of Mentor High School, Dave worked as an electrician for LTV Steel and was a Wickliffe resident for 15 years after moving from Collinwood. He enjoyed swimming, watching hockey and golf, listening to Blues music and was a fan of the Indians and Browns. Spending time with his grandchildren was one of his favorite pastimes. He will be well remembered as an awesome, caring, loving individual who was generous, kind, funny, had a great sense of humor and loved his brothers-in-arms very much.
Celebration of Life Service Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 10 AM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Burial following at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dave at the FUNERAL HOME MONDAY from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
