David S. Hudec

DAVID S. HUDEC age 85, beloved husband for 54 years of Ann (nee Visnich); loving father of Pamela Fehring (husband Pete), Patricia Berger (husband Eric) and Christina Hudec; devoted grandfather of Chloe Fehring; cherished son of the late Louis and Josephine (nee Balley); dearest brother of Daniel (wife Janet) and the late Charles (wife Nancy, deceased) and Gladys Rich (husband Frank, deceased); dear uncle of Tanya Wagner (husband Mark), Brian Hudec, Laura Rich, Frank Rich, Linda Mullally (husband John), the late Louise Savel and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.

David was born on March 19, 1934 and passed away peacefully on August 31, 2019. He grew up in South Euclid and graduated from Brush High School in 1951. David was a long-time congregant of Garfield Memorial Church for over 50 years and served as the co-chair of the Trustees. David was in the active Army for two years and in the Reserve for four years. In 1994, David retired after working 42 years as an ESS Supervisor for Western Electric, which later became AT&T. He enjoyed hunting, photography and listening to 50’s music. David truly loved spending time with his family, especially at the Holidays. He will be remembered most as having a good sense of humor. David will be forever missed.

Contributions may be made in memory of David to the Alzheimer’s Association 23215 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of David at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY, September 5, 2019 from 4-8 PM. Celebration of Life Service FRIDAY September 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Garfield Memorial Church 3650 Lander Road, Pepper Pike OH 44124. Entombment following with Military Honors at Knollwood Cemetery.
