DENNIS JOSEPH KOS age 38, cherished son of James “Jeff” Kos (wife Irene) and Rosemary Wisniewski (nee Szukalski) (husband John, deceased); dearest brother of Nicholas Kos and his twin sister Danielle Waughtel (husband Steven); beloved uncle to his three nieces, Leala Hamill, Teagan Waughtel and Keira Waughtel; beloved nephew of Doreen Petrof (husband Rick), Christine Aderhold (husband Ron), Diane Mews (husband Karl), Carol Race (husband David), and Kim Kos; lifelong companion to Terry Clements; dear cousin and friend of many.
Dennis was born on January 4, 1984, in Euclid, Ohio. After graduating from St. Edward High School, he continued his education at Valparaiso University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences & Meteorology. Dennis fulfilled his dream of becoming a Meteorologist and was even more ecstatic when Dick Goddard himself signed a book of Dennis’s with, “My future replacement.” Dennis was a joy to be around. He had a heart of gold and lived his life for others. In kindergarten he received the Kingdom of Kindness Award. Although to some it may have seemed like a silly certificate, to Dennis it was a duty. Through his adult years, he continued to lift up the underdog and made sure everyone he met had a helping hand when they needed it. On July 26, 2022, Dennis passed away leaving his beloved family and friends missing his endearing words and infectious smile. Until the day we meet again, rest in peace Sonny Boy.
Contributions may be made in memory of Dennis to B. Riley House, 2121 West 117th Street, Cleveland, OH 44111.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Dennis was a great friend with a huge heart of gold. He will be missed until that day when we all shall meet again. I don’t have the words to express how precious he was. Dennis was authentic and transparent who could ask for more in a friend. May He rest in Love and the Peace of the LORD. I will see you again dear friend.
