Condolence from John Baran on March 4th, 2021 9:59 pm

Since meeting the first week of our freshman year at John Carroll University, Dennis Michael Paul has been in my life. While roommates our senior year, I had the pleasure of accidentally introducing him to his future (and amazingly wonderful) wife, Sharon. He noticed her from across the room, but was too shy to go up and talk to her. So I asked her if she would please talk to my friend, who thought she was “very pretty”. After he served as Best Man at my wedding, I had the honor of doing the same at his & Sharon’s memorable wedding. Although distance ultimately interrupted our regular get togethers, when we did connect again, it was as if it had just been yesterday since we had seen one another. He had an intellectual wit, an incredible passion for music, a love of life and a love of his wife and children. The joyous memories of Dennis that I hold in my heart and mind will last forever. We laughed together, partied together, danced together and cried together. I miss my friend and brother more than words can express. We lost him way too soon. To Sharon, Anthony, Matthew & Michele, please know that Kathy and I are sending you our heartfelt sympathies while also sending positive thoughts to try and help ease your pain. We have all lost a special loved one, but he will live in our hearts until we are all united together again… John & Kathy Baran
