DORIS JANE LAYMAN (Czeto) 83, of Mayfield Hts., passed away on January 1, 2021. She was born February 13, 1937 in Cleveland to the late Edith Czeto and Stephen Czeto. Doris worked as a file clerk and medical receptionist for both the Cleveland Clinic and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland. Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was an active member of the church community, including her service in the altar guild, LWML (Lutheran Women Missionary League) and community evangelism groups. Doris was dedicated to caring for her family and friends. She loved gardening, drawing, and spending time with her family. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed the Cleveland Browns and could often be found at Mayfield High or Notre Dame College football games. She also loved weekend movie watching.

Dear mother to Margaret Halcomb (deceased), Edith Carlini (Jeff), and Steven Stock (Donna); Grandmother of Roger Driver, Aaron Driver, Amanda Scardino, Tabitha Halcomb and Matthew Stock; Great Grandmother of Seth Campbell, Teighlor Driver, Kailee Mull, Marissa Driver, Shayde Driver, Jackson Scardino, Parker Scardino and Carson Driver (deceased). Burial will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1 pm. Church members and family friends are invited for a Celebration of Life service at St. John Lutheran Church, 4386 Mayfield Rd., South Euclid, OH on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Cleveland Lutheran High School Association or the St. John Food Bank of South Euclid.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
