
DORIS R. CLAMPITT (nee Stinnett) age 93, born Feb 10, 1928 and passed away Dec. 31, 2021. Beloved daughter of Mayme and Ernon Stinnett (deceased), sibling to Ruth and Paullin (deceased), previous spouse of Donald Clampitt (deceased); loving mother to Jerry (Janet), Robert (Denise), Sheri Clampitt-Dean (Brady), Mark (Patricia), and Alana (Leslie); treasured grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 9; dear aunt to Lynn Hedrick (deceased), Paula Veake (Garry), Doris, Donald, and Nancy Stinnett, and great-aunt to many.
Born in Kentucky, Doris resided in Lawrenceburg and Louisville, as well as southern Indiana. She graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1946. She immediately began her bookkeeping career, married Donald, and started her family. After relocating to Cleveland Ohio, Doris began a rewarding career as an accounting clerk at Case Western Reserve University. She was respected and loved by all. Following her retirement in 1993, Doris moved into an apartment for active seniors. She became the president of the social club, planning many trips and festivities. She traveled with her companion, Tony Destro, and made many friends in Mayfield Hts. Doris eventually moved to St Augustine Assisted living / health campus where she was surrounded by the caring residents and staff. Final support was offered by Holy Family Hospice services.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Doris’ passing. Such great memories of Doris and Dad. My heart goes out to the family. The picture of them on New Years Eve was a great tribute to honor the date of them reuniting. God Bless You.
