Tom, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. Dorothy was so much fun to be around, and such a kind and caring person and great friend to my mom. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Many condolences to the family of the woman I knew as Mrs. Coerdt, way back in my Glen Oak High School days. She was a kind and patient teacher of algebra and geometry to this student (who did not love math!) She once gave me an award for “most creative theorems” (e.g. she never just favored the students who naturally excelled in math). I remember her fondly.

I feel blessed having known Mrs. Coerdt. She was my consumer math teacher at Glen Oak. Her no frills approach taught me more than math, she taught compassion, patience and understanding.
