  1. Eddie was a true positive spirit. I can’t recall ever hearing him say a negative word about anybody which is frankly rare. Always high energy and outgoing, we will miss him. I know he raised great kids and his family will have great memories.

  2. I have no words and my mind is spinning at the loss of Eddie. My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Sandy and the entire family. Eddie was a great friend, listener, a giver, and businessman who loved his family and loved his church. Eddie called me around 3 weeks ago just to talk and that conversation lasted 2 hours. As you know he and I were life long friends from childhood. Even though there would be gaps of time between our seeing one another. We always seemed to pick up where we left off.I have pictures at home of Eddy and myself at my birthday party or his party. I also have pictures from our children’s church classes.Debbie and I always loved seeing you both and your family on Sunday nights at Chardon A/G when we pastored there. I have a lot of wonderful memories with Eddy. One of my favorites is when he and I went down to the old Cleveland Stadium and got there at 4am in 10 degree weather to stand and be the first ones through the gate for Browns play off tickets .We got as many as we were allowed and a number of our youth group went to the game together.I will always consider Ed a great friend. Please feel free to call if you just need a listening ear. We love you all. We will be praying for you for Gods peace, comfort and wisdom during this difficult time.

I wish to extend a heart of gratitude to the Family at this time. Eddie was a Mentor for me for a short while and the time he spent in my life left a lasting memory. He was indeed a man full of energy, compassion, and humor. He cared deeply for anything he was a part of and most importantly loved the Lord. Although the world has lost a wonderful smile, heaven has gained an amazing soldier. Thank you for everything.

  53. Eddie, I had just arrived into Cleveland the other day and was struck by the news of your passing. I am as numb as everyone else is over this, this just isn’t suppose to happen this way. You were my first new friend entering Jr. High. I’ll always remember those wonder years so long ago, but also being able to reconnect with you again in recent years. It was great seeing you fours years ago when you were passing through Houston and you looked me up for lunch. It was a great meeting being able to catch up.
Reading all of the condolences here just show what a great person you are, not were. You’re faith in God, love of family and friends will live on. We don’t know why these things happen but let’s all celebrate your life today and try not to be sad as hard as it may be. I know you’re going to be all right where you are now and one day we’ll all meet again.
May God watch over Sandy and your family during this time. RIP brother.

  61. Sandy, I just heard about Eddie this past Saturday and I am so sorry for your loss.
I think what made him so unique is that he never associated with just one group of people . He was a friend to all. Once he met you, you were his friend for life .I will always remember calling him “Greasey” and he would respond back ,”Chin”. I will miss that. Rest in Peace my friend !
