EDWARD J. BELLE passed away at home February 25, 2023, from congestive heart failure. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 19, 1942, to Louis Belle and Anne Butkovic. Ed was the founder and longtime owner of Surface Engineering, a pavement maintenance company in Cleveland.
Surviving are his sons Louis (Lisa) Belle of Callicoon, New York, Steve “Eddie” Belle of Westlake, and sister Sonia (Dan) Rankin of Willoughby Hills. Ed was preceded in death by his previous wives, Joanne Belle (nee Simoncic), wife Lynda Akers Belle, and brother “Lefty” Belle. Ed was a larger-than-life character who will be greatly missed by his family.
Services are private. Cremation and arrangements by THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon.
