  3. Good Morning, JoAnne.

I wanted to wait a few days to write and express my sadness and condolences to you and your sons.

I would guess it has been over twenty years since I last saw you. However, Eddie and you will forever be part of my life experience. Growing up with someone leaves you with an indelible memory of them. Forever that memory leaves you connected to those special people.

I have talked to Joe Salemi and he explained more of Eddie’s story to me. I will leave you with the thought that without question you were married to a good man. None of us are perfect, nor was Eddie; but in a very basic and meaningful way, Eddie was a good human being. I don’t think I could offer a greater compliment to or about anyone. (Please continue)

I feel somewhat awkward and perhaps the time or situation is not the best, but I believe you will understand. Al Benny has asked me to send on his thoughts and condolences. He asked me to do this because he has been bedridden the last few years with cancer. He is too weak to write. However, I did promise him I would express his thoughts and best wishes to you.
