Love you Lusyachka. Despite not having a real childhood you knew how to play, how to really play with us when we were kids. You taught us how to be less pessimistic and always led with kindness. You never complained and never took sides. Every holiday greeting or birthday call sounded like a speech addressing a room filled with students.
I loved to hear your stories about our dedushka and St. Petersburg… you were were the bridge to our forever home. I think of you when I read about the invasion of Ukraine and hear peoples painful stories and wish for a world where children like you and will never know the pain of war. You loved grandpa and Sonya so much… you have been through so much together. Frida has the same birthday as you and this makes me happy…I hope she can be resilient and loved by so many like you have been all this time. We will all miss your couch, a place we called home. Wish we had more time and will miss you more than you will ever know.
