To the Family of Liz,
I was shocked to hear of Lizzie’s passing. I worked with her for 17 years and have remained friends with her to this very day. She called me just two weeks ago and so excited about buying her own home and was her usual upbeat self. She was a dear friend and all the good times that Toni Wick and I shared with Liz will be with me forever. Liz lived her life just as she wanted, strong, brave and free of whatever life dealt her. May God receive her now with open arms, where she will have eternal peace in paradise. My condolences go out to her family and loved ones.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Liz. I worked with her at Natural History Museum for many years and can say she was one of the kindest, funniest and most well-liked persons I’ve ever known. I had joy of working with Liz at the Museum. She gave me a gift that included a quote by Marcel Proust–“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” Liz was one of my charming gardeners. My condolences to all who loved her.

Susan Simon:
I met Liz at Brush High School which is actually the last time we spoke to each other. I was lucky enough to be friends with her on Facebook for about 3 months.
After reading all the posts from so many people I felt very sad that I wasn’t a part of her life, she sounded like a truly wonderful & amazing person who always helped others and put everyone and everyone before her. I really wish I had know her better & I’ll always be sorry for that.
G-d bless her and my condolences go out to her family and friends.

I was just entering a name in Legacy close to Martello and am so shocked to see the passing of Liz last year.
I was a fixture at the Martello household in the 1960s. We had so much fun playing, singing Beatles and listening to the Beatles, Stones on WIXY radio. I have a cherished photo of the 3 of us standing in front of a David Cassidy poster from The Partridge Family. And Rae had that batteries powered Bat Mobile that she rode in!!
I just have gobs of great memories of So. Green Road at their home. And their cute dogs Freddie & Laurie!!
The last time I saw Liz was in the mid 80s at the Euclid Tavern. I was singing in a band back then and was so happy to see her. I hate that we lose touch with cool people..but life goes on.
My heart, love, prayers and hugs to Mrs. Martello (my folks had great times with you and Mr. M back in the day..those shindigs!) and Rae too and beautiful Liz family!♡♡
