Gould 2

FLORENCE M. GOULD (nee Ganofsky) age 94, beloved wife for 66 ½ years of Robert L.; loving mother of Robert (wife Beth) and Janice Gould Alodah (husband Mohamad); devoted grandmother of Kayleigh Gould and Sophia Alodah; cherished daughter of the late John and Susan (nee Paceut) Ganofsky; dearest sister of Genevieve (the late Paul) Litavic, and the late Evelyn (Nicholas) Rulli, Raymond (Carol), John Robert (Albina), Susan Marcella (Victor) Vilella, Ruth (Richard) Hodges, and Mabel Ann (Donald) Cashill; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Florence was a telephone operator supervisor, homemaker, and Christian Education director and teacher. She enjoyed her hobbies of seamstress and designer, and loved to visit with family.  She was an avid reader of nutrition research, Christian faith, and Biblical principles. Florence touched the lives of many with her gift of counsel and encouragement, and inspired all who knew her with her positive outlook and can do attitude, all grounded in her unwavering faith in Jesus.  Florence’s vibrancy, appearance, and strength defied her age, even into her nineties.

A private family celebration of life service will be held Monday, April 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Christian Assembly with burial following at Knollwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions for youth education may be made in memory of Florence to Christian Assembly, 25595 Chardon Road, Richmond Heights, OH 44143, www.rhchristianassembly.com [1]. Arrangements entrusted by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.

Condolences for the family of “Florence Gould”

Condolence from Judith Cefaratti on April 20th, 2020 10:31 am

Florence was always so positive. She made me laugh when she would tell me that she and Bob didn’t go to bed before 2:00 a.m. As I have gotten older, I see how easy that is to do. Pleasant memories of you Florence.

Condolence from Jo Maniaci on April 20th, 2020 11:04 am

Dear Bob and family, The passing of our dear friend and sister in Christ is a wonderful home-going for Florence! She and I taught children for many years at First Assembly of God in Lyndhurst; a dear lady who loved family and her Lord Jesus. Florence, we shall see you in the kingdom! Bob and family, you are all in my prayers.

Condolence from Peter Chandler on April 20th, 2020 12:33 pm

I’d like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Gould family and to all who knew and cherished Florence Gould.

I once had the pleasure of meeting Florence and her husband, Robert; it was when they had visited their daughter in Washington DC. It’s been many years, but I still remember being impressed in seeing how deeply the love for each other ran through that family. I felt I should share this small testimonial about the kindness of Florence to commemorate just how wonderful of a person she was.

Condolence from Barb Yafanaro on April 21st, 2020 10:58 am

Florence was one of the first people I met when we came to Christian Assembly. She was one of my son’s preschool teachers on Sunday am and Wed nights. I will never forget her kindness and how she always asked about Mikey and prayed for all of us. She sent him a birthday card and so touched my heart that I started sending them to all of the kids I have contact with at the church. That is her legacy, one of kindness, prayer, faith and love for Jesus and all of us. Praying for her family for peace and knowing she is at the feet of Jesus at peace now. Love you all!

Condolence from Lea Emerson on April 21st, 2020 4:25 pm

My deepest sympathy to all the Gould family at this sad time. Florence Gould left a beautiful, loving legacy to her family. May all the angels above welcome her into the paradise of heaven and watch over and comfort her family here on earth. God bless you all.
