
FRANCES L. SOLTIS (nee Wojno) age 91, beloved wife of the late Andrew; loving mother of Thomas Soltis and Laura Prijatel (husband Dr. Robert); devoted grandmother of Brian (April Zaller), Janet McAllister (husband Tim), Nathaniel and Jonathan Prijatel and great-grandmother of Avery; cherished daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria (nee Alexsandrowicz); dearest sister of her twin John Wojno and preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Stanley, Joseph and Blair Wojno and sisters Stella Favara, Sophie Kapeluch, Jennie Popovich, Helen Olsick and Edith Zahar; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Frances was born January 24, 1932 and passed away peacefully at her home on June 6, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Frances was born and raised in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania but later moved to Ohio and resided in Willowick for 65 years. She and her husband Andrew had two loving children, Tom and Laura. Frances worked in the manufacturing industry as a Machine Operator at Ohio Rubber and at Universal Metal Products. She loved to cook, bake, garden and to spend time with her grandchildren. Her family will fondly remember Frances for being feisty, hard-working, caring and for having a great sense of humor. She remained steadfast in her devotion to her family and to her faith.
Contributions may be made in memory of Frances to Holy Resurrection Byzantine Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve. Divine Liturgy Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Holy Resurrection Byzantine Catholic Church (formerly St. Stephens), 532 Lloyd Rd, Euclid, OH 44132 at 10 AM. Burial following at Mentor Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frances at THE DEJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
