
GEORGE M. PRUSOCK, SR.,age 74, beloved husband for 51 years of Nina (nee Scicolone); loving father of George M., Jr. (wife Julie); devoted grandfather of George M., III, Theodore J. and Vincent R.; cherished son of the late George and Sophie (nee Lorek); dearest brother-in-law of Carmen & Lydia Scicolone, the late William Scicolone and the late Carmel and Frank Calo; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
George was born in Cleveland on July 16, 1949, and passed away on August 30, 2023. He graduated from Cathedral Latin in 1967 and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University in 1971. Soon after he married his loving wife, Nina. They resided in Mayfield Heights for 51 years where they raised their son George Jr. George owned his own restaurant for many years. He loved to golf and bowl in his spare time, listen to Frank Sinatra, and was an avid Cleveland sport fan. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and watching Kirtland Football games. George had a great sense of humor and was quite the jokester. He was strong-willed and will be remembered most for being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of George to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Rd, Chesterland, OH 44026 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of George Wednesday at 9:30AM prior to the Mass.
