Condolence Messages

  1. Majdi and Frank Lavrisha :

My condolences to Donna, Dorothy, Irene, Michelle, brother Joe, and families:
Ivan was a great man, husband, father, and neighbor. I remember him most for his humor and patience. He looked at life with a forgiving eye. When I was 14 years old, I was moving our VW Bug for room in our driveway as our Canadian cousins were in for a visit. Long story short, I ran over a row of his bushes going too fast (teenage exuberance). Super embarrassed, Ivan took it in stride while I clumsily dealt with the damage. I learned a valuable lesson about taking the higher road that day and I look to deal with slights against me with the same forgiveness.
We pray for Ivan and for his loved ones,
    -Majdi and Frank Lavrisha
P.S. Just to be clear, it was me, Frank who wiped out the row of hedges…not my wife, Majdi.

  2. Marko Lavrisha :

I was fortunate to have Ivan as a neighbor. He was always engaging and in an upbeat mood as he worked on his lawn or garden. Over the years, I had many conversations with Ivan who was always kind and positive.
It is hard to forget the great water ballon fights with Dorothy, Irene, Michelle, Martina and Peter. We were so fortunate to have such neighbors.
My condolences to Donna, Dorothy, Irene, Michelle, Joe and all of your family. May Ivan Rest In Peace. He will be missed.
    Marko Lavrisha

  3. Paula Schoen-Carey :

My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you over the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather. Even though I have never met most of you, I feel as if I’ve known all of you in some way, because Michelle mentions you fondly in many conversations. I know you are a very close knit family with strong ties that will help you get through this sudden and tragic loss. May heavens golden gates welcome him with flower gardens galore and may God bless and comfort all of you during this stressful time of transition.
