How can I not smile when I think of Mrs. Yuhas?
Many of my childhood memories include her, her family, her sense of humor and all of it brings back great memories. Even as an adult, when she said I could call her Jamal, I couldn’t call her anything but Mrs. Yuhas and it was with great respect and love.
Memories of Jamal include the two of us playing a game of ‘hit you last’ and even now I can see her chase me down the street so she could hit ME last. When the time came that she couldn’t chase me, we would greet one another with a hug and a pat on the back with a whisper of ‘hit you last.’
As I think of her, from today, into forever, it will be with fondness, respect, and love.
In sympathies to the family,
Joy
That was beautiful xo. I loved watching you two play that… I’ll be happy to hit you last from her lol

I just found out today that Jamal had passed. In 2000, I left the area and now I live in Vero Beach–so I lost contact with many of the special people of Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills. And Jamal was definitely special. I remember when I first met her in 1988, she reminded me of Cleopatra with her lovely black hair. Jamal was the first person at church to comfort and encourage me when I was going through a horrible time. Everyone liked Jamal–she was a beautiful person, inside and out. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
