JAMES SBERNA age 75, cherished son of the late Carmen and Nancy (nee Mottillo) Sberna; dearest brother of Margaret “Maggie” Collaros (husband Tex, deceased), and the late Salvatore Sberna and Nicholas Sberna (wife Vinci); dear uncle of Carmen, cherished godfather of Ali Semsar (wife Rafed) and their two daughters Sophia and Ava, and treasured friend of many.

James was born in East Cleveland on March 28, 1947 and passed away on July 29, 2022. He graduated from Mayfield High School in 1965. James was an operating engineer and member of International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local #18. He was also a certified welder, airplane pilot, and avid outdoorsman. In addition to collecting model trains, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was a quiet, reserved, and selfless man of integrity who was devoted to his family, and he will be missed by all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of James to Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village.
