JANEZ “JOHN” SVIGELJ
Mass of Christian Burial for Janez “John” Svigelj, 75, of Kirtland will be held 10 a.m. Monday December 1, 2014 at St. Mary’s Church 15519 Holmes Ave. Cleveland, OH followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery.
Mr. Svigelj, a self employed finish carpenter, died Friday morning at his residence. Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, he was a resident of Kirtland for the past forty years. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union, Slovenska Pristava Pensioners and St. Mary’s Church Choir.
He is survived by his wife Antonia “Toncka”(Bozic); children Helena (Marino) Puhalj, Veronica (Glen) Peck and John (Linda); grandchildren Marlena, Marina and Dominic Puhalj and James, Benjamin and Mattthew Svigelj; siblings Anton (Cilka) Svigelj of Willoughby Hills and Joze Svigelj and Francka Opeka of Slovenia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Franc and Neza Svigelj and siblings Franc, Marija and Ana all of Slovenia .
Family will receive friends Sunday 3-7 p.m. at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home 28890 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, OH.
