
JEANETTE C. FORNADEL (nee Schikowski) age 84, beloved wife of the late Donald for over 45 years; loving mother of Catherine (dec), Thomas (wife Michelle), Jeanine Byrnes (husband Donald), Joseph, Heidi Graft, Heather Niles, and Christopher; devoted grandmother of Timothy, Andrew and James Fornadel, Sarah Morey (husband Reese), Matthew (fiancé Summer Jones) and Brendan Byrnes; Kaitlin Marcellot (husband Adam), Kali and Collin Graft and great-grandmother of Madeleine, Gabrielle and Nathaniel; cherished daughter of the late Albert and Emma (nee Reinhard) Schikowski; dearest sister of the late Sr. Mary Ann Schikowski, OP and Paul Schikowski (wife Mary).
Jeanette was born on April 1, 1939, and passed away on September 27, 2023. She graduated from Regina High School in 1957, The first class to attend all four years in that Institution. She married her beloved Donald in 1960, and they had 7 children. She was a member of St Joan of Arc Church but had spent many years as an active parishioner of St Jude Catholic Church, in Warrensville Heights, serving faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and taught sacramental preparation classes.
Jeanette was devoted and loving to her family. She so enjoyed spending time with her family creating memories at family gatherings and decorating for the holidays. She lived to celebrate and created many family traditions, especially making Christmas and Easter extra special. She truly valued her extended family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Jeanette was generous, resilient and had a good sense of humor. She proudly shared her faith and her devotion to The Blessed Virgin Mary. She will truly be missed by all her knew and loved her.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 2, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 496 E. Washington St, Chagrin Falls at 10 AM. Please meet at church. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jeanette at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 1-5 PM.

We were neighbors and close friends in Orange Village with Jeanette ‘s family.We stayed in touch on a regular basis even though we moved away in early 1970’s. We are having mass in her honor at our home parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea,Solomons MD.We will miss her happy voice in our lives. THANKS FOR THE SPECIAL GIFT OF HER FRIENDSHIP
