
JEFFREY L. CICCHELLA age 55, beloved husband for 33 years of Jacque (nee Sallee); loving father of Justin, Jordan, Jaden, Julian, Jaxon, Jonah and the late Jansen; cherished son of Daniel and the late Shirley (nee Davis) and step-son of the late Janice Cicchella; dearest brother of Daniel (wife Angelique), Paula Holt (husband Tim), and Cynthia; treasured son-in-law of Denver and Marsha Sallee; fond brother-in-law of Denver, III M.D. and Margaret Sallee, Christopher, M.D. and Heidi, M.D. Sallee, and Jennifer Parent; dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many. Survived by his K-9 companions Jet and Joy.
Jeffrey was born on November 15, 1966 in Cleveland and passed away on December 28, 2021. He was a resident of Newbury for 28 years, formerly residing in Chesterland. Jeff graduated from West Geauga High School in 1985 and attended Lakeland Community College and Cleveland State University. He worked for Progressive Insurance as a solution architect. Jeff was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church where he was Parish Council President and Co-Chair for the Parish Picnic. He loved coaching baseball and basketball; Jeff especially enjoyed coaching kids. He was an avid Indians, Browns and OSU fan. Jeff will be remembered most as a good and kind man who was a friend to everyone. He always had a smile and was caring, giving and reserved with a sense of humor. Jeff will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Jeff to Birthright of Geauga, 209 Center St., Unit A, Chardon, OH 44024 or Ivy Women’s Center 8619 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church 12060 Kinsman Rd, Newbury, OH. Burial following at Munn Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jeff at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY 5-7 PM and WEDNESDAY MORNING 10-11 AM at the Church.
