
JOEY E. GASKELL (nee Case) beloved mother of J. Todd (wife Denise) and Haidee Magner (husband Benjamin) ; devoted grandmother of Joseph Gaskell (wife Catherine), J. Todd, Jr. (wife Jessica) and Ronnie Gibbs (husband Nathan) and great-grandmother of Melody, Odysseus, Joseph, Francesca, Giovanni, Kane and Hayes; cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (nee Willey) ; dearest sister of Ella Jones (husband Byrd); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Joey is survived by her K-9 companion Shyanne.
Joey was born in Columbus Ohio, before moving to Medina in 1973. She worked as a trainer in the human resource department for Lockeed Martin. Joey enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson’s music.
Joey was a cancer survivor. Even as she struggled with health issues, she is remembered as a strong and independent person. Although quiet and reserved, Joey had a great smile. She was a jokester with a great sense of humor.
She will be missed by all.
