On March 19 2022, Karen Lee Eierman (nee Passarello) of Madison Ohio, left this world suddenly to be in eternal paradise forever with the Lord. Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She always had a smile on her face. She always welcomed everyone into the house with a smile and a “Hi sweetheart”.
In the spring she could be found working in her gardens and in the summer she would always be in the sunshine on a float in the pool. She loved the crisp air and colors of falltime and baking and decorating the house for the winter months. She kept an immaculate home and loved to work on her beautiful handmade jewelry. She loved playing card games with her family and was always ready with her crown royal bag full of change (and an IOU).
Her baking was amazing and her cooking was straight from her heart. She loved little shops and picking out treasures that made her think of you. She loved her animals and even tried to save many who didn’t need to be saved, as they were in their own front yards. She was known for her warm heart, the best hugs, and long sweet text messages.
Loving nicknames from those surrounding her include: Mad Myrtle, Putzarello, Sis, Kare, Mom, Grandma, Grandma bear, Gram, AK, Auntie Karen, Karen knieval, Grand ma-ma, Helen, and Kim.
She was the loving wife of Herb Eierman, who had fallen in love with her the very first time they met, when she was 17 and he was 19. They were the true meaning of love, determination, and faith.
Karen was the proud mother of Chelsea Sobolewski (nee: Eierman). She was Chelsea’s biggest cheerleader, always-watching out for her. Karen loved Chelsea more than life itself. She would always tell Chelsea to “ call her if you need a ride” regardless of where, how far and what time it was. She would remind her to take a gentle approach and to “pray about it, Chels.”
She was the extremely proud grandmother of Grace Sobolewski. Grace was her entire world and Karen was fortunate enough to spend as many minutes of the day as possible with Grace, teaching her everything she could about love and God and the Blessed Mother.
Karen loved her Son in law Michael Sobolewski like her own. She knew her daughter and granddaughter had the love and protection from a caring and loving man.
Karen is preceeded in death by her mother Andrie Passarello, and father Lucian “Mike” Passarello.
She leaves behind her siblings Gail Nemeth (Tom), Michelle Bartchak (Matt), Michael Passarello and Marielen Fatula (Bruce) and sisters in law Lorraine Hotchkiss, Andrea Adams (David).
Her nieces and nephews: Thomas Nemeth (Becky), Melissa Ricco (Nick) April Nemeth, Erin Hillyer (Craig) Kaliegh Jewell (Dillon), Ali Haefke (Steven), Stephanie Passarello, Christin Strack (Erik), Lucian Fatula. Kristine and Renee Hotchkiss, Kim Adams, Jennifer Stewart (Morio), Michael Adams (Jessica), Alicia Portik (Justin), Daniel Watson.
She was an adopted mother and grandmother to many and loved them as her own.
We ask that you take time and say I love you to anyone you need to say it to, say a prayer for someone who may need it, give forgiveness to someone who may have hurt you, and we ask that you share a smile with someone. That you give grace and kindness to everyone around you. Karen would do this to everyone and anyone she met. Her smile lives deep in our hearts. Her joy of just being around all those who she loved and love her back lives on in our hearts and souls. Saying she will be greatly missed is an understatement. She will be missed beyond comprehension.
