KAREN LOUISE MANSI (nee Hearn) age 74, loving mother of Luisa (Art) Reginelli and Frank (Jennifer Whitney) Mansi; devoted grandmother of Artie, Gianna, Giulia, Clayton, and Cameron; cherished daughter of the late Willard and Marie (nee Hitt) Hearn; dearest sister of Dottie Jean Devito, Barbara Strickland, and the late Bob Hearn.
Karen was born on October 18, 1945 and passed away on September 28, 2019. She was a proud wedding florist and enjoyed teaching others the artistry of floral arrangements. Karen was extremely talented and a true artist. She also loved music and dance; a talent that she developed while taking dancing lessons as a young girl. As a faithful member of St. Paschal Baylon for 20 years, Karen kept active in the Art and Decorating Committee. She looked forward to decorating the church each holiday. She had a great love for animals. Karen was a fun and loving woman, who had a warm and compassionate presence that attracted those around her, and for that she will be dearly missed.
She was Cremated by DeJohn Crematory. Private services will be held.

Karen was a big sister to me. My family loved her more than words can express. We grew up in dancing school. When I was a toddler and danced on TV, the cameras were on me and she danced behind the cameras so that I was at ease and not frightened by the TV cameras & studio. Karen was sponsored by my parents when she turned Catholic. My family would have adopted her if they could have. In my sophomore year of high school, I saw that her own flower shop was just down the street. We were both elated to see each other once again. I worked in the flower shop for many years. Karen taught me floral design & wedding set up. I serviced many weddings for Karen on Saturdays, while she worked in the shop on Saturdays. Karen designed my ’71 prom flowers, did floral work for the funerals of my parents & even did my daughters’ wedding flowers. She had a heart of gold. She was a truer than true best friend. If you didn’t love her, well, there was something wrong with you! Karen, I love you and miss you more than you will ever know. You will always be in my heart. I thank you for oh so many things, especially thing the things that you taught me our of pure love. I’m sad you are gone, but happy you no longer suffer from ALS. Love always & forever, your little sis, Jill Potter Chaske

Karen was one of the most classy, humble, strong, kind and gentle souls that I’ve been Blessed to know. Thank you for all the fun times and guidance at the flower shops in Wickliffe and Euclid. The way you handled all us young girls was amazing. A perfect mother image, more than you know, which I’m FOREVER grateful. Luisa and Frankie were also blessed to be raised by such a loving mother. While you were putting the final touches on my wedding flowers, it was fun having Frankie in my wedding and Luisa at your side. The Holy Spirit blessed us, bringing us together during your past few months. Thank you for being a part of my life. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. God’s blessings to your family and friends during this time of loss. In the meantime, your smiling face will be missed…until we meet again. HUGE warm hugs with LOTS of love, my Special Friend.
