
KRISTIN KOREN (nee Zimmerman) age 95, beloved wife of the late Frank, Sr.; loving mother of Frank, Jr. (wife Susan) (wife Josephine, deceased); devoted grandmother of Frank III, Timothy Posta (Katie Dragga), and Benjamin Posta (wife Olivia); cherished daughter of the late Matthew and Anna (nee Litrop) Zimmerman; dearest sister of late Ann Kavish and Maria Jeric; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Kristin was born on December 15, 1924 in Cleveland and passed away on April 9, 2020. She was a resident of Mayfield Village since 2012, formerly residing in Chardon. Kristin came to the USA from Slovenia in 1949 after attending school in Slovenia. She retired in 1985 from General Electric where she worked as an assembler. Kristin was a parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. She loved crocheting, cooking, baking strudel and pitizah, and feeding her cats. Kristin will be remembered most as a strong willed and hardworking woman who was devoted to her family. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Kristin will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kristin to Cleveland Clinic Hospice 6801 Brecksville Rd, Suite 10, Independence, OH 44131.
Private Family Service will take place Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 11 AM with live streaming of service available (see Funeral Home website guestbook) followed by burial at All Souls Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.

Auntie Kristin was a very good baker and cook. Decades back our families would have dinners at her house and I remember that’s where are families congregated the most. She was more soft spoken when I was younger and I would spend time at her home with my cousin. She was always very nice. She will be missed by all!
