
LEONARD R. “LEN MIKOL” MIKOLAJCZAK age 78, beloved husband for 27 years of Marilyn (Cercek) Mikolajczak (nee Drowns); loving father of Karen and Janice Mikolajczak, Susan Stogsdill (husband Rodney), Lisa Finch and stepfather of Lisa Cercek (partner Paula Cohen), Lynn Cercek (Michael Evanoski) and Leslie Flowers (husband George); devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 1; cherished son of the late Casimir and Lottie (nee Graczyk); dearest brother of the late Raymond (wife Maryann); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Navy Veteran. Len was a longtime employee and funeral director assistant for both Zevnik-Cosic and DeJohn Funeral Homes.
Len was born on April 8, 1943 and passed away on February 15, 2022. He grew up in Chicago and served in the US Navy after high school. Len was a business school college graduate and worked in management in both Illinois and Ohio. Len was a truly devoted employee and funeral director assistant to both Zevnik-Cosic and DeJohn Funeral Homes. He was a lover of both Polka and Rock & Roll music and was extremely passionate about playing his drums in bands during his time in Chicago. In his retirement, he loved golfing with friends and spending time with his family. Len was hardworking, dedicated, loyal and devoted to his faith and his wife. He was a good man who touched the lives of many with his humor. Len will be missed dearly and remembered in the hearts of all.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Collinwood at 11AM. Burial following with Military Honors at Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Len at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). MONDAY 3-5PM & 6-8PM and at THE CHURCH TUESDAY MORNING 10-11AM.
