LOREEN F. JACKSON (nee Muhic) age 79, beloved wife for 60 years of Howard A.; loving mother of Trevor (wife Aimee) and the late Traci Sabo; devoted grandmother of twins Ryan and Lexi Jackson; cherished daughter of the late Frank J. and Theresa R. (nee Saje) Muhic; dearest twin sister of the late Loretta Walker; survived by her beloved therapy dog, Norman.
Loreen was born in Cleveland on May 25, 1942 and passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021. She was a long-time resident of Kirtland for the past 75 years. After graduating from Kirtland High School in 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Howard. Loreen was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her husband, children, mom, and aunt. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church, and active member of the Kirtland Senior Center. In her spare time, Loreen enjoyed casino trips, playing cards with her girlfriends, reading mystery books, quilting, gardening, or shopping at the flea markets. She had a love for Slovenian Polkas and country music. The most enjoyment in her life came when she was keeping busy and being with her family and friends, especially her adopted ‘sisters’ and best friends Alma Baur and Betty Delli. Loreen was always the cook, and loved getting together with family anytime, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving. She is described easy-going, hard-working, caring, and always willing to take on anything. She will be missed by many.
Contributions may be made in memory of Loreen to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
