
LORRAINE MARIE MAXIM (nee Dargai) age 86, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Kathleen Betlejewski (husband Larry), Patricia Hayden (husband Bill), David Maxim (wife Donna, nee Micco), and the late Baby Michael; mother-in-law of Michael Weikart and Rick Scheeser; devoted grandmother of Michelle and Robert Weikart, Rick Scheeser (wife Jess), and Lia Maxim and great-grandmother of Alexis and Gavin Weikart, Myles and Tyson Scheeser; cherished daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Sposop) Dargai; dearest sister of Dolores Moncheck (husband William, deceased), John Dargai (wife Irma), William Dargai, and Joyce Gera (husband John); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Lorraine was born in Republic, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1934 and passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021. She was a resident of Willowick for the past 66 years, and lived in Cleveland prior to that. She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania, and went on to work as a church secretary at St. Mary Magdalene, and in retail sales at Dillard’s Department Stores. Lorraine enjoyed gardening and listening to country music. Lorraine’s family describes her as hardworking, caring, and devoted to her family. She was giving, generous, quiet and reserved, but also had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. She will be missed by many.
Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Relatives and Friends are welcome to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 32114 Vine Street, Willowick, OH 44095 at 11 AM. (Mass will be livestreamed.) Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
