
LOUIS SEVERINO age 88, beloved husband for 66 years of Kathleen “Kitty” (nee DiSalvo); loving father of Richard (wife Renee), Donald (Debbie), David (wife Monica), Louis, Jr (wife Karen) and Thomas (wife Amy); devoted grandfather of Lisa Crissman (husband Steele), Tyler Strohecker (husband Tyler), Mia, Kristi, Dominik (wife Keara), Anthony (fiancé Leslie), Joi Schultz (husband David), Gino (wife Sarah), Salvatore, Nicolette Kleinhampl (husband James), Maria, Alexandria, Louis III, Samuel and Jake, and great grandfather of 8; cherished son of the late Giuseppe “Joseph” and Raffaela (nee Cesarano); dearest brother of Nicolo, Antoinette Salvador, and the late Lawrence, Antonio “Tony,“ Genaro, Francesco “Frank,” Theresa Ambrisio and Philomena Mintie; and brother-in-law of Florence Condidorio, Vincent “Jim,” Sam and the late Ronald DiSalvo.
Lou was born on July 13, 1934, in Boscoreale, Italy and passed away peacefully at his home in Highland Heights surrounded by his family, on September 12, 2022. He moved from Italy to Batavia, NY in 1948 and then to Cleveland in 1957 where he and his wife Kitty raised their 5 children in Wickliffe. Lou was a member of the Knights of Columbus #5407, The Italian American Club of Wickliffe and Pine Ridge Country Club where he had 2 holes in one. Lou was the owner and operator of Lou Severino Construction for over 50 years before he retired in 2013. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing bocce, traveling and spending time in his second home in Naples, Florida. Lou was a softspoken man who lit up every room he entered. His generous kind heart, gentle touch and amazing smile made everyone he met feel like they were family. Lou will be remembered most as being devoted to his faith and family. He will be forever missed.
