LT. Stephen Browning Waite, Jr.

LT. STEPHEN BROWNING WAITE, JR. age 82, cherished son of the late Stephen Sr. and Gladys (nee Ferguson); dearest brother of Ann Masley (husband William, deceased) and Jane Waite; dear uncle and great uncle to 8 nieces and 3 nephews. U.S. Navy Veteran.

Stephen was born on November 16, 1939 and passed away on April 10, 2022. He grew up in Long Island, NY, moved to Palm Springs and resided in Burton for the last 4 years. Stephen graduated from Schreiber High School in Port Washington, NY in 1957 and as a finance major in 1962 from Colgate University. He was a LT. US Navy Veteran. Stephen truly loved the arts, architecture, music, theatre and history. He will be remembered most as a quiet guy with a dry sense of humor and a generous heart. Stephen will forever be missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Stephen to Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Prayers of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 4:30PM at the Funeral Home. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Stephen at THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St.  (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Wednesday, April 27, 4-4:30PM. Burial will take place Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 10:15AM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
