
MADELINE “MADGE” MONTELLO (nee Rose) age 80, beloved wife of the late Salvatore “Sal”; loving mother of Lisa, Josette Merletti (husband Lew) and the late Anthony; cherished daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (nee Jagella) Rose; dearest sister of the late Albert “Sonny” Rose (wife Nancy) and James Rose (wife Cathy, deceased); treasured sister-in-law of Carmen (wife Rosemarie); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Madge was born on February 15, 1941 in Cleveland and passed away on December 26, 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She graduated from South High School in 1959. Madge was a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly residing in Cleveland, Lyndhurst and Pepper Pike. Madge was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Lyndhurst and a member of Renewal. After moving to Scottsdale, Madge was a member and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Scottsdale. She was a homemaker, loved gardening and caring for wildlife. Madge will be remembered most as a caring, giving, social and hospitable woman who was loved by all. She was devoted to her family and faith. Madge will be dearly missed.
Contributions may be made in memory of Madge to St. Clare Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church 5659 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst, OH 44124. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Madge following the burial at the Western Reserve Room at Generations Center, 12809 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland, OH 44026.
